The contract was signed, and the deposit was paid. So far, so good. On the day of the grand opening, I was introduced to the master- mind behind the gallery and the reason for its success. A character that might as well have been straight out of the movie "Death Beco- mes Her," Mrs. J.S., the mother of the young man, showed up. She looked stunning, with a perfect body and not a wrinkle in sight. She wore a tight black dress that looked like it was painted on. However, the similarity between her and Meryl Streep's character in the above-mentioned movie was uncanny.
Things were good; the rent was being paid, and life had once again spawned in the old club premises. Not to forget that I looked like a star, as it had previously been near impossible to find a tenant. However, things started to become strange. The whole gallery was full of art, and M.S. claimed that they were now opening in LA, Porte Bernus, Trelleborg, and soon Dubai. This in itself was not strange, but the artwork itself was so overpriced, and the mere fact that J.S. claimed that the total value in Tunneln superseded 100 million SEK was a red light, to say the least. We were still being paid, so as long as we did not purchase any of the art, we were golden.
A new turn of events occurred. All of a sudden, busloads of happy Polish tourists (J.S. was born in Poland, therefore the connection)
