A Horse’s Grave
A post on the Oakville Historical Society’s Facebook Page indicated
that the island in the roadway of Ennisclare Drive East is the resting place of the horse of Colonel Cox who owned the land and polo grounds up to Ennisclare Drive.
The post states:
“His horse was buried where small island hump is midway down Ennisclare East.
An agreement was made when the land sold that the grave would never be disturbed.”
