“We don’t just want to breed for the sake of breeding,” says Mary about the mares they chose to buy, “We want to be selective in which mares we bring in.”

to horsepeople.” says Mary who
was anxious to learn more, “I took adult lessons at Five Star Ranch in Oakville which was my  rst hands-on experience with horses.”
“Dave played hockey with a lot of people from the racetrack and I had a lot of exposure to racing from work.” says Mary mentioning that she is in Advertising Sales at Pattison Outdoor, the sponsor of Woodbine’s biggest race, The Pattison International, “Having racehorses is something I have always wanted to do.”
Belmont under the conditioning of Todd Pletcher. He was a winner in Allowance company at Churchill Downs and  nished second at 6 f at Belmont to eventual G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner, Silver Train.

Mary met her husband Dave at college and when it came time to have a family they wanted to live in the country and purchased a horse farm in Sherkston, Ontario.
Ingot is a 6 year-old son of the highly successful sire Seeking The Gold out of a Storm Cat mare Catinca.
His dam, Catinca, was a multiple graded stakes winner of more than $860,000 including a win in the G1 Ruf an Handicap. Her female fam- ily has black-type throughout her pedigree.
