Woodbine Entertainment announced that the 160th running of the $1 million Queen’s Plate,  rst jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.
North America’s oldest continuously-run stakes event showcasing Canada’s top three-year-old Thoroughbreds is the highlight of Woodbine’s Queen’s Plate Festival.
Annually one of Toronto’s must-attend events of the summer, the 2019 Queen’s Plate Racing Festival will begin on Friday, June 28 and run through Saturday, June 29. The fashion-forward festival will feature world-class horse racing, live entertainment and delicious dining experiences.
Just in time for the holidays, Queen’s Plate Festival tickets can be purchased now on Ticketmaster.ca with reserved grandstand seating starting at just $40 (for a limited time).

The Charles Fipke bred and owned 2 year-old by Blame out of his mare Inventing Paradise was the winner of the $61,000 1-1/16 mile Maiden Claiming race with Jesse Campbell in the irons for trainer Roger Att eld.

September 15 at Woodbine former Toronto Raptor Forward Bruno Caboclo (now with the Houston Rockets) made the trophy presentation to Chiefswood Stables and Jockey Jesse Campbell for the
G3 Bold Venture Stakes win with Yorkton, trained by Stuart Simon
2018 Grey Handicap winner Gray Phantom with Jockey Kazushi Kimura returning to the winner enclosure with the help of Outrider Sarah Moore and her aptly named pony Grey.
In case you didn’t notice the Catherine Day Phillips trained  lly, Notice Me, then the catchy song by Alexa Ray Joel (daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley) for which she was named, will surely have you noticing her the next time you see her on the track.
Notice Me, owned by Catherine’s King eld Racing Stables, P.A. Fullerton Stables Inc. and Peter Reich recently  nished second in the South Ocean Stakes, was 4th in the Victorian Queen after a maiden breaking win on August 31 in MSW company.
