The group was trained in emergency response related to incidents involving starting gates and trailers as well as stall incidents, loose horses and on-track injuries.

Personal Protection Equipment such as helmets, gloves, webbing and rope should be on hand and quickly accessible for emergency situations.
The hands-on portion of the workshop included a barn walk-through where participants were asked to point out  re and safety risks in the barn.
Dr. Rebecca Gimenez is a volunteer  re ghter in Gray, GA, and is an internationally sought speaker and instructor. She edited the only textbook available to the  re service and veterinarians on technical rescue of large animals.
