Vying for spot on Ontario Young Riders Team
The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario Division) held their annual Awards Night on a beautiful evening on June 20 at Rattlesnake Point in Milton.

Meagan Maloney has been riding horses for more than fifteen years and has been competing in Eventing for the past 10 years.
Originally from Georgetown, Ontario, Meagan is currently training in Caledon East under the guidance of her coach Garry Roque, a member of the 2004 Olympic Team.
Meagan and her mare, Kiss My Tiara, are vying for a spot on the 2005 Ontario Young Riders Team which will be travelling to Virginia in July to compete in the North American Young Riders Championships (NAYRC) which is described as “a taste of the Olympics”.
Meagan is hopeful that she has made the under 21-year-old team which will compete against other Canadian Provinces as well as Regions of the United States.
Kiss My Tiara is an eleven-year-old thoroughbred mare who was in training at Woodbine under the name, Silver Pistolette, however she never made it to the races and was sold to show interests.
Meagan actively seeks ex-racehorses to retrain as eventing horses and currently works as a groom at Woodbine. She also galloped last season for trainers Jim Day and Terry Brooker.
