has enjoyed a terrific month of winning which has included a win or multiple winsadayon16ofthe21 cards of racing offered in June. On June 10, Emma saw the winners circle on four occasions with wins in the second, fifth, seventh and tenth races for various trainers.
Fellow apprentice jockey Corey Fraser is currently ranked second in the standings with a record of 35-38-34 and more than $1.6 million in purse earnings in 205 starts. He has also enjoyed a win or multiple wins on 13 out of the 21 cards of racing
offered in June. On June 8 Corey recorded his second career stakes win aboard the Robert Harvey owned and Sid Attard trained, Believe in Missy, in the $125,000 Balade
Stakes.
Perennial leaders Todd
Kabel and Patrick are currently ranked third (with 31 wins) and fourth (with 29 wins) respectively while Jim McAleney with 26 wins rounds out the top five.
Jockey Emile Ramsammy, who is currently ranked seventh behind David Clark, enjoyed four wins on the card on June 18. He was the winner of the first, fifth and seventh races as well as the sixth and feature race, the Ontario Matron Handicap, aboard the Tucci stables owned and Sid Attard trained Champion, One For
Rose.

New ship-in procedures announced to deal with Strangles and Equine Herpes Virus
Due to the recent outbreak of strangles and to deal with the equine herpes virus, the Ontario Racing Commission has implemented new ship-in procedures at Ontario thoroughbred racetracks which went into effect May 27, 2005
Shipping-in
A certificate of Veterinary Inspection dated within 24 hours prior to shipping must accompany any horse being shipped into Woodbine or Fort Erie Racetracks from outside the Province of Ontario. The certificate must be presented to the stable gate personnel prior to entering the stable area. The certificate must include the following statement:
Horses represented on this Certificate of Veterinary Inspection have not originated from a barn or premises that is under quarantine for strangles or herpes virus, nor have been exposed to a confirmed or suspect case of strangles or the herpes virus, nor have shown clinical signs suggestive of strangles or herpes virus, nor have been febrile within the previous three weeks.
Please note that the rectal temperature of every horse must be noted on the certificate.
Upon arrival
Within 24 hours of arrival, horses originating from outside the Province of Ontario must have a Veterinary examination. A record of daily temperatures must be maintained for any of these horses from the time of arrival and made available to the Commission Veterinarian upon request.
Please Note:
Any horse that has had strangles or the equine herpes virus in 2005, or has been under quarantine for strangles or equine herpes virus in 2005, must obtain the permission of the Ontario Racing Commission Veterinarian before being allowed on the grounds of any racetrack in Ontario.

Fort Erie Stakes
Fort Erie celebrated Canada Day with a special eight-race program and the Holiday Cash Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes gave race fans a chance to win valuable cash and prizes. A contest was also held on Monday, July 4 celebrating Independence Day.
The first Stakes races of the season at Fort Erie are Monday, July 4 with the running of the $250,000 Labatt Bison City Stakes at one mile and one-sixteenth on the main track and the Daryl Wells Sr. Memorial at the same distance on the turf.
All of Fort Erie’s major Stakes will all be run during the month of July. The $500,000 Prince of Wales Stakes, second jewel in Canada’s Triple Crown, will be run on July 17 along with the $100,000 Ernie Samuel Memorial. The $125,000 Rainbow Connection Stakes goes one week later, July 24.
Post time each day at Fort Erie is 1:05pm.
