Anson Stud Farm hosted their first annual Open House at their Caledon farm on December 11 to feature their new stallion Slew Valley as well as the very popular A Fleets Dancer and stallions Pride of New York and The Judge Sez Who. Pictured here from left to right with stallion A Fleets Dancer are: Sonja McKinnon, Joan Maxwell, Andy McKinnon, Leonard Wood, Dawn Maxwell and Rina Scali.
Windfields Farm Open House
Windfields Farm hosted their annual Stallion Open House on Sunday December 4 and it was a great success with close to 150 people visiting the farm throughout the day.
Mr. & Mrs. Gustav Schickedanz generously donated a stallion season to the recently retired Mobil as a feature draw prize and Mr. William Gierkink was the lucky winner.
According to Windfields Sales and Marketing Director, Bernard McCormack, Mr. Gierkink was a suitable winner of the
stallion season as he was the first on the phone to request a breeding to Mobil when it was announced he would be entering stud in 2006.
Bernard also mentioned that the stallions all showed well and Mobil was very calm and cool and was very well received.
Another of Windfield’s other stallions, Cat’s at Home, wowed the crowd with his looks and presence and their “senior” stallion Ascot Knight was on his game as well.
Norse Ridge Farms Open House
Norse Ridge Farms Limited hosted a Stallion Parade and Open House on December 17 at their farm in King City, Ontario.
The Open House featured a luncheon and refreshments as well as a stallion parade which highlighted the stallions, My Way Only, Paynes Bay and Lodge Hill who are standing at Norse Ridge for the 2006 season. There was also an early booking discount and a draw for free stallion seasons.
