John Brnjas is the founder of ATL Industries which he established in
1983. ATL is a leading North American manufacturer of pistons, brake calipers, castings, and brackets. Located in Uxbridge, Ontario, ATL is minutes away from John’s Colebrook Farms which today consists of his main farm and residence as well as three separate divisions, the training centre, the stallion station and the breeding division.
John Brnjas purchased the main
farm in 1994 to handle the over ow of Thoroughbred racehorses, mares and offspring which he kept at long-time Manager Gayle Bosscher’s farm in Sutton. In 2000 John purchased the acreage
next to the main farm and established
a training centre in 2002, the stallion station was operating by 2004 and after purchasing additional acreage, he added the broodmare barn in 2005.
John and his wife Carol live at the original main farm in Uxbridge.
In 2007 Ashlee Brnjas began training for her father at Woodbine and has won multiple stakes with the Colebrook Farms horses such as:
Reconnect (2008 mare by Niigon - A Familiar Face, by Cloud Cover) a ve time winner including the 2011 Le Prevoyante and the 2013 Belle Mahone Stakes as well as second place nishes in the 2012 Victoriana and the 2013 Trillium Stakes at Woodbine.
Reconnect’s full brother - Seen It All Before (2009 gelding) is the winner of 5 races including the 2012 Vice Regent and the 2015 Bunty Lawless Stakes at Woodbine.
These siblings helped provide Ashlee with her best season as a trainer in 2012 when she achieved more than
$1 million in purse earnings along with the mare Waitinginthewings (2009 mare by Niigon - Bedazzle ‘Em, by Defrere) who won 7 races from 2012 to 2015.
Ashlee is currently training at Tampa Bay Downs for the winter and has recorded 8 wins thus far.
