WRIT OF MANDAMUS – a writ which in essence is a
command order. It is an order issued by a court
ordering some official to execute the specific act
described in the writ.
WRITING CONDITION – a circumstance under
which the writing was prepared and the factors
influencing the writer’s ability to write at the time
of execution.
WRITING MATERIALS – any material used primarily
for writing or recording.
WRONG-HANDED WRITING – any writing executed
with the opposite hand that normally used; also
called “writing with the awkward hand.”
WULNUT STREET JAIL – was originally constructed
as a detention jail in Philadelphia was converted
into a state prison and became the first American
Penitentiary.
