‘Once a
Powerlistee,
always a
Powerlistee’
Over the years, we have featured nearly 500 men and women
on the Powerlist, unearthing some of the country’s most
high-achieving people of African and African Caribbean
heritage and showcasing them and their stories to those who
otherwise may have never come across them.
In our ongoing mission to ‘rebrand black Britain’ and to provide
relevant and impactful role models, this is something we are
extremely proud of. With more and more lists and awards now
emerging which celebrate this space, we are proud to have
been instrumental in getting the ball rolling 14 years ago and
will continue to play our part in highlighting and celebrating
black excellence. This is why, while each year we ‘retire’
some people from the list to make room for new faces, we
continue to respect the achievements of everyone who has
ever featured, holding tight to the view: ‘Once a Powerlistee,
always a Powerlistee’.
So, in a salute to every single person who has appeared on this
list over the past 14 years, we present to you our wonderful
Powerlist alumni in alphabetical order, while also highlighting in
a little more detail some individual achievements…
