Whispers of the heart (Mimi wo
sumaseba, 1995)
Despite the age of this movie, Studio Ghibli
makes it easily to get into the protagonist´s
shoes and making us move into this Japan of the
middle of the 90´s and its vibrant yet calming
atmosphere. It begins with our main character
Shizuku that has been noticing that someone called “Seiji Amasawa” is reading every book she
decides to borrow just before her, and with the curiosity that every teenager has, decides to find
out who he or she is. One day, the destiny shows her, through a lovely and walker cat, a store where
she begins to learn more about herself and her mysterious Seiji; as her life develops in front of us,
facing fears and one or other stories as the minutes go by.
This movie is one of the type that, in spite of being a romantic
movie in general, it doesn’t matter how many times you´ve seen
it, it makes connect emotionally to the protagonist and wonder
about how we perceive the world, especially about that time of
our lives when we have decided what we wanted to do and who
to become as a person in our lives. Leaving us with a lesson about
following our hearts and dreams.
As you can see, it doesn´t matter how old a movie is or what type of movie
it is, the important thing is how the group that made it create a story that
makes us laugh and cry with the characters and makes us ask ourselves
and learn more about everything and how it makes us feel, even just by
Resource: remembering it. Because each one of us has a special spot for a movie in
https://www.google.com.co/search our memories, and that´s the true worth of a movie.
