Dear Sir:
I went to two different Jewel-Osco locations on Wednesday looking for a product that was listed in the
current flyer online. Neither store had the item.
I went back to the two stores the next day and had the same experience. This time I checked out with two bunches
of daffodils and told the clerk that I was done shopping at Jewel-Osco and I would be going to Aldi in the future.
When I got home I noticed that the receipt read “Service Not Speedy? Call Me Directly Cathie K.” So I call Cathie
and told her about my experiences and what my resolution would be to stop shopping at Jewel-Osco after 40 years.
She said that she would go back and find the items and call me back within ten minutes. She did exactly that! When she
called she told me there would be a gift card covering the cost of the items I wanted. I told her I would come the next day
and she said “I will deliver these items to you right now.” Within 20 minutes I met Cathie at the door and gave her a big
hug as she handed me the bag.
I was amazed at her concern, immediately locating the items, calling me back and then BRINGING the packages to my home.
She is a wonderful representative of your company. Thank you for employing Cathie. She is a tremendous asset to your
personnel at the Jewel-Osco store in Darien.
