Page 117 - How to stay healthy in an unhealthy world

Myth: Obesity, cancer, heart disease and other illnesses are GENETIC.
Truth: Almost 100% of the time genetics have NOTHING to do with your state of physical and mental health.
The favourite excuse of people who run to
doctors for every little and serious illness, is that it’s GENETIC. No I am not saying that your parent’s habits and lifestyle don’t influence YOUR health as a child. However, as an adult, it’s YOUR decisions and habits that ultimately determine your state of mind and physical health. It’s YOUR choices. NOT your destiny.
It’s NOT hereditary. Mother and daughter at a resort I stayed at. The 8-10 year old daughter is already fat. The food they ordered at the kiosk was . . . Fried chips, milkshake and fried Chicken nuggets. Any surprise?
I am 60 years young and yet have none
of my parent’s illnesses. Why is that? I
saw my dad get all sorts of chronic pain
and heart problems because of his
lifestyle. He had back pains most of his
life. Heart bypasses and pacemaker and
was on all kinds of pills and medications.
Always at the doctors doing some kind of
test or another.
This family is obviously causing their own health problems. Mother, father and daughter by example are all eating the wrong foods and I bet on all kinds of medications.
My mum was not much better having
suffered migraines most of her life and
high blood pressure. If hereditary factors
play a part should I not have followed
the same path?
NO. Because I chose to take responsibility for my health many years ago. Even
though I was often getting sick all the time until I was 28 when I changed my diet
and thinking. And Unfortunately, my mother and father did not change their
ways. And they paid the price. Both, in health problems most of their lives . . .
and finally in their passing.
If you look around, normally overweight children have fat parents. And vice
versa. It’s their habits and food that keep them fat.
