Common Sense Health Part #6:
What is disease and what causes it?
I rarely ever get sick . . . I know that disease usually arises because of your body
and mind is out of balance in some way. In my experience the more un-natural
environment we live in, the more un-natural and processed foods we eat the
more susceptible our body to disease. Of course this means that for most part,
YOU are responsible for the state of YOUR health, or the lack of it.
The germ theory (germs attack you at random and make you sick) is useful for
people who do not wish to change. It means that some evil deadly germ is
waiting to infect them and their children. It also helps deflect the blame for
industrial chemical and medical drug damage. Just blame the germs. But germs
are no more responsible for disease than rats and cockroaches are for a pile of
garbage they are feeding on. The garbage attracts them. And germs are
attracted to sick or weakened or injured parts of your body. Just like that old
saying goes . . .
You ARE what you eat, drink and think.
If you eat junk food and drink junk drinks . . . your body will be junk and susceptible to disease and germs
From a simple headache or stomach ache, flu, sinus problems or back pain to the
most serious and dreaded cancers and other such like, the most common reason
for getting sick . . . is emotional stress. Studies have shown that as much as
85% of all doctor visits are caused by emotional factors such as stress.
Stress, or negative thinking then usually has consequences such as alcohol and
drug (legal and illegal) abuse. Self destructive behaviours. Lack of will power
and overeating. Bad choice of foods. Anxiety, depression, frustration, lack of
self confidence and hopelessness.
These can then lead to sexual problems, relationship problems and workplace
issues. Plus many other physical and mental problems.
The thing to remember is that REALLY serious illness usually does not happen
overnight. It takes time and effort on your part and also the ignoring or
ignorance of symptoms that precede serious illnesses such as cancer, heart
disease and other such diseases.
