WHEN JACKING A VEHICLE ALWAYS USE AXLE STANDS AND CHOCKS. NEVER GET UNDER A VEHICLE SUPPORTED ONLY BY A JACK.
1. Axle stands and High Level Vehicle Supports are capacity rated individually. Axle stands are sold in pairs and High Level Vehicle Supports are sold singly. A pair will normally support double the rated single load but be aware - you may know the total weight of the load you are supporting, but you cannot be sure that the load weight is spread evenly across both stands. For this reason always use higher capacity stands than you think you need.
2. Axle stands and vehicle supports are designed to support a static load in the middle of the engagement head (crutch). Take care to load evenly and never on the edge of the engagement head. Always take steps to ensure the load cannot move, use wheel chocks (see page 231 in this catalogue), apply vehicle brake and put in gear or "park".
3. All the axle stands and supports in this catalogue are designed for professional use and tested to ensure they meet or exceed International Standards.
