Dining Room
This magnificent glass-walled room is the pièce de résistance of
architect Howard Barnstone’s original design. Much has been written
regarding the construction of this room with its breathtaking view
of trees, stone terraces and greenery which can be seen all the way
to the bayou. One U.S. president was so taken with the view, he
violated orders from the Secret Service to get a closer look for himself!
Noteworthy is the massive sculptured granite wood-burning fireplace,
electronically controlled solar shades, soaring ceiling and enough room
to comfortably seat 32 guests.
