Minister Jordan made the remark while delivering the feature
address at the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association’s
Special Business Dinner, which was held on June 29, 2017. The
event was hosted at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Georgetown.
The senior Government Minister said that one could not
underestimate the role that the private sector and the GMSA in
particular must play in ensuring the transition to a clean, green
and sustainable economy. He said that while he was cognisant of
the challenges being faced by many companies in this respect,
it was necessary for them to redouble their efforts to pursue a
green agenda.
He lauded the efforts of some companies which he cited that were
creatively thinking outside the box and making profits despite
