Aruban hex signs can be seen etched into old cunucu houses all over the
island and also on new built houses. This one is from a house at Babijn, on the
road to Natural Bridge. A Dutch tradition that came to our island around 80
years ago and it’s a very interested subject that have many point of view on
the meaning of the hex signs.

Francois asked me a very difficult question:
Last week my Belgium friend Francois asked me what is the best beach
on the island! WOW!!! My answer was it depends on the time of the
day. I love the sunrise at Baby Beach so between 6am to 7:15am it’s
just spectacular at Baby Beach. Between 7:30am – 9am I will pre-
fer Arashi Beach and this is for the tonality of colors of the sunlight.
Around 10am sure it will be Eagle beach, Boca druif, Mangel Halto or
Rodgers Beach. At noon the best place to be is at the Natural Pool in
Arikok. For a morning beachwalk Palm Beach and for sunset, Arashi
            Beach or Eagle Beach.

            My Fav Lunch
My favourite lunch is Red Snapper or Stew Goat!!! Our island cuisine
is delicious and as soon as I need a jumpstart I will buy Red Snapper.
The best way to fry a fresh snapper is to cut in blocks on the side of Beto Ras!
the snapper and by doing this will help you when eating a whole If you go to Arikok National park you will see this gentleman sitting in his win-
snapper. We eat fish with Funchi or Pan Bati (Ask your concierge) and dow watching the jeeps and busses going to Arikok. His house is at Coba
also must have 3 sliced of sweet plantain. The local sauce is made Lodo #17, just at the crossing to go to the park. A white house that was built
of onions, tomatoes, green pepper, salt and some secret ingredients by his grandfather Antonio Ras. Also this house was for some time the only
and that is garlic and pepper (Some locals add sugar too). Sure will mini-market in this area and was the “Codalodo Store”. Sure you will see Beto
have the Pica di Papaya (Papaya hot sauce made in Aruba) and and his cousin Mai having very long conversation one outside and the other
with lemon juice. Bon apetit. inside his house.
