INITIAL PROJECT IDEA MAPPING:
In Equitable Creative Placemaking ideas and questions are depicted with multiple frames of reference.
RESEARCH & DISCOVERY: COLLECT, COLLATE AND REVIEW:
1. Data, documents field literature (cultural asset mapping, business documentation, online surveys, economic impact analysis, research)
2. Collect, study and use data that can benchmark an index and/or show change.
3. Embed analytics into web-based platforms used in outreach.
4. Utilize simple, consistent ways to take surveys, count attendees, gather feedback, and collect
contact information from interested parties. (Both in-person and digitally.)
5. Identify people, and resources to collect, maintain an effective contact management tool, e.g.
Google Forms, Constant Contact or Sales Force.
6. Identify a person, tool and place where data, research and other materials are efficiently filed
and maintained, hard copy and/or digital.
INITIAL BUDGET QUESTIONS
• Are there any financial or in-kind resources available to the Core Team and partners?
• Are there known sources to pursue?
• What ways are there to fund/support child-care, translators, scribes, designers & communi-
ty-practice artists?
• Ask funders and businesses what community interests they choose to support, their goals, time-
frames and budgets; what does a win-win look like to them?
• Can you leverage bartering, branding, marketing resources or other non-monetary trades in-
kind?
• What aspects of the Creative Placemaking project aligns with funders, existing budgets, compa-
ny marketing resources, etc?
