2020 YEAR-END NOTES
    FRONT OFFICE  SAVES: Atlanta relievers went 13-for-19 in save opportunities, and just three different pitchers
        recorded a save for Atlanta this season... A franchise record-tying 11 relievers saved a game for the
        Braves last year.
              •  Mark Melancon logged 11 saves for the Braves, while Chris Martin and Bryse Wilson each
              tallied one...Wilson’s save came after 4.0 innings of relief in Atlanta’s 29-9 win on September
              9 vs. Miami.
    MANAGER & STAFF    •   •  Melancon’s 11 saves tied for third most in the National League and seventh most in the majors.

              Atlanta blew just six save chances on the season, tied for fourth fewest in the NL...Only Miami
              (4), Chicago (5) and St. Louis (5) blew fewer saves than Atlanta.
        SHORT STARTS: Atlanta had 33 starts of 4.0 innings or less in just 60 games this season, the
        most such starts in the National League and second most in the majors...Only Boston, with 34
        such starts, had more.
    PLAYER BIOS    •  Seventeen of those Braves starts were 3.0 innings or shorter, also the most in the National

              League...Only the Tigers (21) and Red Sox (18) had more.
              •  The Braves went 15-18 (.455) when their starter went no more than 4.0 innings...Over 162
              games last season, Atlanta had just 25 starts of 4.0 innings or less.
    SEASON IN REVIEW  were 19-4 (.826).
        NOT SHORT STARTS: In 23 games in which the starter went at least 5.0 innings, the Braves

        Braves team has scored in the first 60 games of a season…The 1900 Boston Beaneaters set the
        old mark at 346, before the 2003 team matched them…The Braves’ 5.8 runs per game was the
        highest total in the franchise’s modern era…The 1894 team holds the overall franchise record,
        scoring 9.17 runs per game over 133 games (1,220 total runs).
    OPPONENTS    •  MLB ranks: OPS (.832, 1st), on-base % (.349, 1st), doubles (130, 1st), extra-base hits (236, 1st),

              total bases (1,001, 1st), batting average (.268, 2nd), slugging % (.483, 2nd).
              •  Atlanta’s league-leading .832 OPS was the highest of any Braves team in the modern era …
              In fact, only 27 teams since 1900 have posted a higher team OPS than Atlanta’s this season…
              The highest this century was set by the 2003 Red Sox, who had a .851 team OPS…The 1930
