HALE MAHANA APARTMENTS
IMMERSIVE DESIGN EXPERIENCE
The Hale Mahana Apartments in Honolulu, HI is a 14 story student housing
building that employed the use of the Immersive Design Experience. Utilizing
the Unreal Engine, a virtual tour of Floors 1, 7, and 14 allowed potential residents
the opportunity to explore the Lobby, Living Floors, and Amenities Deck freely.
The ability to add animated features, realistic sounds, and navigation menus
not only offered a “cool experience” for students and their parents, but also
a valuable tool in the leasing office. “Being immersed into the virtual building
gives potential residents a more realistic understanding of the spaces. It is
easier to understand than just viewing floor plans and photos.”
