Minutes of Agenda:
The second meeting with held with the staff members and the
following points were discussed:
- My colleagues are kindly requested to commit to all the
instructions set by the school principal.
- My colleagues are to prepare their lesson planning and to be
ready to submit it from the beginning of the school day.
- We should set and start our plans for both weak and brilliant
students from the first week of the scholastic year.
- Our colleagues are kindly requested to read all circulars
concerned the with new competence based approach and
the new instructions related to the distribution of
marks and syllabus to both update themselves and
handle new differences.
-Our English Department has been chosen for the reception
committee to welcome and guide the Ss of the new year,
especially six graders, so we have to do our best showing
creative ideas.
The HOD is going to clarify the competence and
standards based curriculum.
- The new Kuwait National Curriculum is conceptually a
competence- and standards-based curriculum that aims at
gradually developing students with a
coherent system of competences.
The Kuwait National Curriculum Framework and the “subject
curricula” include:
(a) Key competences – these are non-subject-specific,
integrated competences
meant to be achieved by students at the end of Grade 12;
(b) General competences – these are subject-specific
competences meant to be
achieved by students at the end of Grade 12 or by the terminal
grade when a
