This Guide summarizes lessons from DECI-2: Developing Evaluation and Communication Capacity in
Information Society Research, an action-research project supported by the International Development
Research Centre, IDRC, Ottawa and UKAid, London.

The Guide is based on numerous field experiences facilitated by the DECI-2 team members: Charles
Dhewa, Julius Nyangaga, Sonal Zaveri, Vira Ramelan, Joaquín Navas, Bruce Girard, Wendy Quarry, Dal
Brodhead and Ricardo Ramírez.
