Client’s Requirements
Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) is dedicated to promoting private sector entrepreneurship and building economically sound enterprises in the developing world by investing in projects within East Africa including Food and Agro Processing. IPS has subsequently established a medium term expansion plan and aims to invest in agro-processing infrastructure to support the supply of fresh produce from Uganda to some of their subsidiaries in Kenya as well as to expand their export potential from Uganda.
Client’s Request
Developing infrastructure to support the supply of fresh produce to their subsidiary’s (Frigoken) pack house in Nairobi, as well as to provide an initial processing plant for direct to export processing of fresh produce.
Current Operation
Currently renting when needed
Production Volumes
Currently sending 10T per day of raw produce directly to Nairobi following basic quality checks . Export processing needs to export up to 7 pallets of produce for export.
Current Needs
To aggregate, store and pack for export market, with adequate opportunity for business growth as well as consolidating the supply chains to Nairobi of raw produce for export processing in Nairobi. According to product diversity the client requires cold storage with diverse temperature and humidity ranges.
