        Dieonie paneled jugs
These jugs have a series of vertical sections on the upper and lower body, forming panels, with or without impressed
decoration. There are multiple cordons around the middle and the necks are reeded. Their provenance is generally at- tributed to Raren; but it should be noted that this group is very similar in form to the Westerwalderware material (see below) from this site.

The jug has a central cordon separating an upper and lower vertical-sectioned body. The upper section has a series ofimpressed decorations, alternating with sections ofimpressed basket-workpallem which looks a little like woven ma- terial. Tbe neck has a frieze of impressed Dowers or leaf pallern with a plain, parallel-sided, reeded neck. The panels on the sections of the lower body are undecorated.
