Buoy position
The grids were spaced at 100 ft intervals. The search proceeded in a systematic fashion for 3 days, at which time the search was ended without success.
The victim was eventually located approximately 800 ft (250 m) east of the rock island by rec- reational divers (Figure 21.24). The victim was found in an area approximately two search lines
