Reinstatement of RoadCem Stabilised Soils
To enhance the micro and macro biological content of the subgrade soil unit at its interface with the lower topsoil unit a thin layer of the site stripped topsoil is spread over the surface of the subgrade soils and remixing of the materials to full depth is carried out using the mixing plant. This process provides a deeper enriched, aerated and granulised soil unit, offering benefits to future land usage.
In conjunction with this process an appropriate dose of the optimum reagent product is applied to the surface of the subgrade soils and mixed into the granulised soils to the full stabilised depth. Post treatment monitoring of the site pH testing will indicate if the selected reagent is producing the desired reduction in pH over the available timescale. Occasionally a second application may need to be used to achieve the desired results.
After the satisfactory pH re-balancing, the site can then be returned to the landowner.
