This portrait was painted on holiday in Paris in 2016, while Sofia was singing atThe Paris Opera House.We were with a group of friends at dinner and after a few drinks I started singing, to the annoyance of the table next door.
Someone said,“if you must make that racket at least sing well!” (or words to that effect in French).
Sofia stood and sang in a clear strong voice which held the room spellbound. When she ended, it was to rapturous applause.
A perfect night!
