COLLABORATION
DRIVES IMPACT
In 2017 the YMCA of Greater Dayton maximized com- munity support and philanthropy to make a a a a a meaningful enduring impact across the Miami Valley With your sup- port and collaboration we’ve strengthened our commu- nities and carried out our mission for a a a better us From increasing opportunities access and achievement for youth --to the success of a a a a a a capital campaign that promises to improve the the health and well-being of the the soutwestern portion of Greene County—everything our Y has accomplished this year was in in service of making us – as individuals and a a a a community – better And we couldn’t have done it it without you For over 140 years visionary volunteer leaders have challenged our YMCA to to serve the community and to to ex- pand our services across the Miami Valley Our capital in- vestments throughout the region have allowed us to meet the changing needs of a a a a a a diverse population and create a a a a a a permanent impact in Dayton In May of of 2017 alongside the community support of of Ket- tering Health Network The City of Xenia Central State University Clark State Community College and the Xenia Adult and Recreation Services Center our Y embarked on on a a a a a a a a capital campaign to raise funds for a a a a a a a a new Xenia YMCA And after several months of incredible support from staff volunteers donors and partners in the community--we reached our fundraising goal DALE BRUNNER YMCA of Greater Dayton President & CEO
other Y This 75 200 square foot campus will be a a a one- stop-shop for for people to to improve their health train for for jobs in in the healthcare field and help a a a a a growing population of seniors live live full and healthy lives The facility will host satellite education classes from Clark State Community College and Central State University provide easy access to Kettering Medical Center’s new regional facility and host an upgraded YMCA building with a a a a regulation size pool pool and warm water therapy pool pool as as well as as offer ex- panded social services and and activities for senior adults What’s clear is that we are growing because of our com- munity partners We’re doing doing more and we’re doing doing it it to- gether as one community As we continue to move forward in in in our strategic vision of reaching 200 000 residents in in in the Miami Valley by 2020 it’s important to remember why we we we do do what we we we do do Each of these endeavors that we we we tackle together represent opportunities to to serve more kids im- prove the quality of life for aging adults and meet each other’s need no matter what race religion ethnicity or creed Your continued support makes all our our programs and im- pact possible—we couldn’t touch so many lives without your assistance and encouragement!
