Introduction

Hot air balloons have always been a fascinating and captivating sight in the world, and
recently, for the first time, Sarawak will host the Borneo Balloons Fiesta at Dataran Stadium

Negeri in Petra Jaya.

Sarawak has recognized its peculiar and diverse history. By applying the element of culture
to promote the festival in order to preserve and value the culture so that the local could

also enjoy this festival alongside the visitors learning their culture.

Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 the festivals have now been postponed. The Borneo
Balloon Fiesta, initially scheduled for 11-12 April at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya, was post-

poned until further notice.

However, the organizer is still eager to bring the event back as soon as they receive a
favourable update from the State Disaster Management Committee as they see that there

has been a great deal of opportunity to promote Sarawak internationally.
