committee voted to contribute $2,500 in support of Battle Week press and promotional materials.
Former Maryland Society President Frank Turner was elected vice president of the General Society, and we currently have members active on the Library, History, Education, Annual Giving, American Revolution Institute, Building and Grounds, and Book Prize Committees. As a result, the meetings in May and October at Anderson House are well attended by the Maryland Society, and we are an almost constant presence around Anderson House on committee business. Members involved in General Society activities have the pleasure of working with their fellow members from all over the United States and with the superb staff at Anderson House.
The Maryland Society achieved a 69% participation rate with a mean gift in excess of $400 in the General Society's 2018-19 Annual Giving Campaign, qualifying once again for the Otho Holland Williams cup for participation. We congratulate all who contributed and especially to our incoming Vice President Tripp Onnen, who led the effort for Maryland.
Our next annual meeting and white tie dinner will be held Saturday, February 22 on General Washington's 288th birthday at the Maryland Club in Baltimore.
