To mark the 236th anniversary of our founding, the fourteen Societies of the Cincinnati were invited by Pennsylvania Society President James Orlo Pringle to the Triennial in Philadelphia. France was represented by a sizeable delegation.
We were warmly welcomed in Philadelphia by Elizabeth Ward and the organizing committee members’ wives, and after checking into the hotel we embarked on four days of meetings, meals and historical and cultural visits, which provided an opportunity for us to meet our American friends in a festive atmosphere.
Before the official meetings began, our group visited historical sites around Philadelphia, the birthplace of America
