Features of Online Learning
a. Structured
• Students follow the class schedule designed for their
level.
• Consultation hours with teachers are scheduled.
• Each Montessori online school day begins with
greetings, warm-up sessions, monitoring of students’ well-being, discussions, and reminders.
b. Flexible
• Students will have access to their individual portals.
Each portal has a home feed page with all the student’s registered subjects.
c. Holistic
• OBMC’s online learning program is also designed to
meet the students’ emotional and psychological
needs, particularly in these trying times.
• Home-based extracurricular activities will be
provided to equip them with the skills necessary to become creative, independent, and disciplined.
2.1 Casa Program (3 to 6 years old)
The Casa Department is divided into three (3) levels:
Junior Casa corresponds to Nursery 1. This level consists of
children aged 3 to 4 years old. *** Not offered for SY 2020–2021 Junior Advanced Casa corresponds to Nursery 2. This level consists
of children aged 4 to 5 years old. *** Not offered for SY 2020–2021 Advanced Casa corresponds to Kindergarten. This level consists
of children aged 5 to 6 years old.
The Casa Curriculum uses 177 hands-on apparata for Practical Life, Sensorial Arts, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Arts (divided into Botany, Zoology, History, and Geography) lessons or learning activities.
