                                                                                                                                                                 The Marion Public Library Museum is located in downtown Marion
                                                                                                                                                                 adjacent to the Marion Public Library.  The Carnegie Museum building
                                                                                                                                                                 housed the original library that was built in 1888.  When the new
                                                                                                                                                                 Library opened in 1991, the Carnegie building was transformed into a
                                                                                                                                                                 Museum that gives a glimpse into life in early Marion and Grant County.

                                                                                                                                                                 The Museum underwent a major renovation in 2016.  History Made
                                                                                                                                                                 Here opened in November 2016 featuring a new exhibit on the Gas
                                                                                                                                                                 Boom era.  This exhibit is interactive and covers this exciting era in
                                                                                                                                                                 Grant County history when gas was discovered and businesses and
                                                                                                                                                                 industries flourished.  Future plans are underway for new exhibits
                                                                                                                                                                 highlighting historical events in the history of Grant County.

                                                                                                                                                                 In addition to the exhibits, the Museum also has a collection of Fine Art
                                                                                                                                                                 which includes paintings from both Richmond and Nashville, Indiana
                                                                                                                                                                 artists.  Several paintings are on display in the Indiana Room, the
                                                                                                                                                                 Library and in the Museum.

                                                                                                                                       The Indiana History and Genealogy Department is also located in the Museum.
                                     Marion Philharmonic Orchestra                                                                     The Carnegie Museum periodically features special exhibits and partners with the Quilters Hall of

                                                                                                                                       Fame during its annual July Quilt celebration.
               For five decades, the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra has inspired citizens of all ages in Grant
