chairs, tables, and colourful cushions as spaces for reflection and conversation. Our polytunnel was very fruitful and the girls were delighted to watch things grow and to use these products in their cooking classes.
Our summer holiday took us to Connemara for a retreat put on by a wonderful group of volunteers. The girls had a lot of fun around campfires, on the fjord, a sheep farm demonstration and games together.
It was a great chance to have a break from our routine here and experience something different.
We were privileged to witness six women graduate from the program in August. These women demonstrated perseverance and determination through some challenging moments, fighting for their families and their futures. It was a joy to celebrate this achievement with them.
Coming to the end of a very busy year,
the atmosphere here is harmonious and peaceful, allowing new girls to feel safe
and welcomed when they step through
the doors. We are vigilant and determined to maintain this space for healing and growth. Change is never easy and, as women courageously choose change for themselves, we desire to meet them where they are at and provide them with a person- centred model of care. We are excited for what 2023 has in store.
