64 Memories of 9/11 Memories of 9/11 64 I will never forget where I was or what I was doing when I learned the tragic news that America was under attack. I remember the my tears as I watched the towers crumble, as the Pentagon was struck and when Flight 93 was confirmed down in Pennsylvania. I remember saying a silent prayer for those who had lost their lives and for strength for their families. I remember praying for all of the police officers, firefighters, medics and others who ran towards the attacks, doing their best to help their fellow humans. I remember praying for God to give the President of the United States the strength and the wisdom to deal with this senseless act of terror. I remember praying for the swift capture of those responsible for the attacks on the United States of America. I remember saying to myself, “My God, now is the moment when the meaning of Freedom and Democracy will have be changed forever. I remember 9/11. I remember the grief, the loss, the fear, the empty skies, the feeling emptiness, and the love and compassion for the victims and the families of 9/11. I remember 9/11 and I know that I will never forget. I always remember 9/11. Rob McConnell - Publisher of The ‘X’ Chronicles Newspaper
