Tzu Chi La Romana School in the Dominican
                Republic is inaugurated in 2000.


                   In  September  1998,  Hurricane  Georges   sent volunteers from the United States to assess
               charged through the Caribbean, striking several   damage  yet  again.  At  year-end,  volunteers
               island  nations.  With  a  government  invitation,   went  out  on  the  streets  of  both  Taiwan  and
               volunteers William Keh and Robert Lynch were   Los  Angeles  to  raise  funds  to  support  Central
