No kidding. Shellharbour really does feel like it’s summer all year round with an unspoilt, laid back lifestyle that has to be experienced to be believed. Because it’s a feeling that really can’t be described. Like the way a gentle sea breeze brushes across your skin, or the sweet aroma of a forest refreshes you with every breath. Or how the sense of city stress being gently washed away by the peacefulness. It’s very personal.
We’ve been blessed with a beau ful environment of beaches, lakes and Na onal Parks that wrap around us in a big hug that only mother nature can provide. And like all good mothers she indulges her children with the things that make them happy and laugh with joy. Inside and out.
The choices of fun and relaxa on are only limited by your imagina on and energy levels, regardless of the me of year. Our big waterpark of ocean and lake o ers you endless shing op ons, swimming, boa ng, snorkelling, or take sur ng lessons at ‘The Farm’ and even the unique experience of cruising the coastline with the only Segway Beach Tour in the state, at Killalea State Park.
A li le inland and you can stroll through nature reserves and hike along bush trails, take a brisk plunge under a waterfall, or just dangle your feet in the springs. Enjoy leisurely cycling rides on shared pathways, or on a golf buggy to test your skills on our champion golf courses.
For a bit more man-made ac on you can put your foot down behind the wheel of a hot go-kart either indoor or outdoors. Or you can sit

in the pilot’s seat of an F1-11 jet ghter or board the record breaking Qantas 747-400 at the HARS Museum’s unique collec on of planes.
All this laid back ac vity and fresh air can really tune up the taste- buds and appe te. Which is just as well we also have some of the best restaurants and cafes on the coast. There’s nothing like a fresh, locally caught seafood feast and a bo le of chilled white to round o the day. Or maybe as the beginning of a long lazy lunch.
A erwards, you can se le back in the comfort of any one of our many hotels, motels and bou que b’n’bs. Whatever you choose, you’ll always feel at home and you’ll sleep like a log.
Not forge ng, one of our very best features is that we’re only an easy hour’s drive from Sydney. Which is about as long as it takes most people to nd a park in Sydney.
So, come on down. The feeling’s beau ful.
