*The purpose of an interview is not just for the school to know about you but it is time for you to ask and know about the
school! All you need to do is to tell a good story of yourself to let the school know who you are. Go to interview with a few
questions to ask and choose some questions that you care about. Most importantly, don’t forget to be yourself!
Some samples you can ask your school as following:
1. What clubs does the school offer?
2. Does school provide mentor program after school if I need further assistance for my homework?
3. What does a typical day for a ninth/tenth grader?
4. How much homework will I have?
5. Is there a dress code? Do I need to wear uniform every day?
6. Can I volunteer for community service?
7. What do we usually do after school?
Important Interview questions related to your person background:
1. Could you briefly introduce yourself?
Usually, this is very important session because it will influence the interviewer that what the questions
he/she will ask you. If you mention that you like to play the piano, probably the interviewer will ask you more
about your music habits. Maybe they will ask you whether you have attended a performance or a game. So,
please DO NOT mention anything you are not prepared to share/speak.
2. Tell me a bit about your family.
Introduce your father, mother, siblings…etc. What’s their jobs? How tall are they? What’s their habits?
3. What activities do you like to do with your family?
You can share anything with your interviewer. The interviewer wants to know whether you spend your time
with your family and to know what do you like to do with your family. For example, you can say that your
family likes to have dinner together every day or every week. This time is very important for you and your

school on each of the Academic performance, extracurricular activities, and community service. Let the
admission knows you are a person who is well thought-out. For example, you can say you are good in math
(or any other subject) and you can show how you feel confident on this subject.
Furthermore, don’t forget to share your interests on sport/art/music…etc. after school activities. Who do
you like in your basketball team and what the big memory your team won a game! Finally, most schools in
the USA care about community service a lot! Your future school will also require you to volunteer for
community service every year. Show your experiences and feeling of being volunteer.
