Freediving competition in Weh Island, Sabang is an annual event initiated in 2017. This
event is supported and funded by the government of Aceh province and the Ministry
of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, in association with Indonesian Freediving
Association.

Initially launched as Sail Sabang Freediving Competition, now the event is called
Sabang International Freediving Competition.This 6-day competition is held in Balohan
Bay, on Weh island’s southeastern coast.
This competition is open for freedivers, member of a national AIDA, with minimum
age of 18 years or 16 years with parental consent. Only 40 spaces available in this
competiton, an early registration is reccomended. There are three competition dive
in six days. Every 2 days is dedicated to one of the depth disciplines. The maximum
depth is 100 meters.

The typical competition agenda are as follows:
- Day 1-2: CWT
- Day 3-4: FIM
- Day 5-6: CNF
