ART
Ms Maher
This module offers an opportunity for students to develop an
appreciation for calligraphy and how it can be used to enhance a
public space. Students will learn a new skill which can be used for
many projects that they undertake during the year. It is also an
option for Craftwork in Leaving Cert. Art.
Working in groups, the students will use the Italic Script to promote
“Healthy Eating” by writing appropriate text in the GP area. This will
create a great opportunity for team work. Students will also have the
opportunity to add small designs or drawings to their pieces if they
wish.
This craft is particularly suitable for those students who have not
formally studied Art up to Junior Cert as all students will begin a new
experience together.
