  Discuss andinterview
Discuss with your classmates, “What kinds of changes have occurred in Cần Thơ since you were in grade school?” At home, interview your parents and grandparents. Ask them similar questions about their lifetime. Take notes! Here are more questions for a worthy interview, but you may think of additional ones to pose.

Differentiateshockandstress
Step One. The article above defines the difference between shock and stress. Examine the list of words below. Some describe shocks (one-time events). Others describe stresses (day-after-day or chronic events).
Step Two. Square up, select a note-taker, and decide as a square which words are shocks or stresses. Do not use your smartphones.
Step Three. Share with the class whether you are stumped (confused) on how to categorize these events. Continue
to refrain from using your smartphones. Answer these questions together. Write defining Vietnamese words beside the English words.
Step Four. In the accompanying chart, write down words that align with shock or stress.
Step Five. Complete both columns with additional examples of shock and stress.
