Nam Can Tho University and Future Generations University share a long-term vision. They have hosted several teacher-training workshops, online forums, and library soirees; and they have provided graduate education to equip professional educators. They anticipate that these services will continue for more teachers, more grade levels, and more provinces.
Meanwhile, emerging Centers of Language Learning can provide online and in-class instruction using the iC5 approach and Bending Bamboo methods, materials, Global Classroom, and sustainable norms.
Bending Bamboo will outfit a Global Classroom on each participating campus. Such a facility includes video conferencing software, a laptop, microphone, speakers, projector, screen, whiteboard, webcam, reliable bandwidth, curtains, and U.N. SDG and Bending Bamboo banners. Global Classrooms connect rural and urban schools. They allow Vietnamese and native English Language teachers
to collaborate in delivering Bending Bamboo lessons. They unite student peers across the Delta to apply their linguistic and development knowledge and skills.
All of these components contribute
to quality education, which will be assessed on the basis of gathered data on student and teacher progress. Year by year, Bending Bamboo will edit and revise its materials, and publish linguistic-development texts for teachers and students.
Simultaneously, the project needs committed teacher-leaders to introduce this process and similar
goals to their Delta colleagues of other grades and schools. As this process is revised and enhanced, Bending Bamboo aims to augment preschool to grade 12 learning. In this way, future generations begin early the lifelong process of being “bilingual with purpose to grow the future of Vietnam.”
Shall we begin?
