   Principles of Reinforcement
􏰀 Reward the performance, as opposed to the result
􏰀 Positively reinforce effort and desirable attitude
􏰀 Use reinforcement that encourages intrinsic motivation
􏰀 Positively reinforce process goals on the way towards achieving performance goals
􏰀 Recognise actions that can go unrewarded like movement off the ball or effective communication
􏰀 Correct constructively using positive – corrective –positive statements
􏰀 Use negative sanctions in an impersonal manner – sanction the wrong action, not the person
