Torn cruciate ligament of
Left Knee
On the eve of the German World Championships 2017, Vivian ruptured the cruciate ligament of his left knee due to a fall during practice.
An accidental slip before the quarterfinals affected the performance of subsequent events. Later, he was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in his right knee and needed to immediately stop training for surgery. Everything was just like the script two years ago.
"I remember when I came back last year because I was too nervous, I kept crying before I even played. Even my opponent came over and askedme "Are you okay?". The mood was really bad, but the inability to retire made the world ranking fall out of the top 16. "Vivian smiled and recalled this past story, saying that each injury has a different revelation. The injury two years ago rekindled her love for swordsmanship,
but this time it means that the training is not perfect, so it is destined to continue.
Vivian did not disclose the actual injury. Generally speaking, cruciate ligament injuries
can be divided into three grades, one is mild, the second is severe but not completely ruptured, and the third is completely ruptured. She ruptured her left knee cruciate ligament before participating in the World Championships the year before, but she miraculously returned after a four- month rest. Her performance was unaffected.
