After visiting Gökçeler Cave on the slope of Gökçeler Can-
yon, also known as Sleeping Valley, you can walk inside the
canyon possessing rich biological diversity. You can also
enjoy your lunch at the restaurant near Hamzabey Creek,
listening to the sound of the creek that has created the can-
yon.
The total length of Yerküpe Cave, which runs under the rec-
reation area covered with plane trees, is 102 meters.
There are all kinds of stalactite formation in horizontally
developed, passage like semi-active cave. You can observe
stalactites, stalagmites, columns, wall dripstones, drip-
stone ponds and soda straw in each section of the case.
The entrance of the Nimara Cave on Paradise Island of Mar-
maris is worthy of seeing as it is breeding ground for “Tiger
Butterflies”.
In addition, according to the findings from excavations per-
formed in Nimara Cave in 2007, the cave was a worshipping
area in history.
If you are curious about sportive caving and have appro-
priate equipment, you can also visit many caves such as Yerküpe Cave
Alexander the Great (Büyük İskender), İsli, Cheese Flower
(Peynir Çiçeği) and Girmeler Hot Spring Cave.
