Sample Aviation Museum & Andersonville
POW Museum Itinerary
The Aviation Museum in Warner Robins is one of the premier WWII Museums in the
Southeast. Your students will take a guided tour of the Museum of Aviation’s WWII
Hangar which includes the Black Eagles exhibit and the D-Day Down to Earth exhibit.
Your students will be able to view authentic artifacts, participate in a parachute
activity and receive a glider. As an aviation museum, there is a special focus on the Air
Force’s role and importance during WWII. After visiting the Aviation Museum, your
students will take a tour of Andersonville POW Camp. Originally a Confederate prison
during the Civil War, the historic site has been transformed into a Museum for POW
Booth Western Art Museum
from each American War.
