Sample Aviation Museum & Andersonville
POW Museum Itinerary
This adventure takes you to the second-largest aerospace museum of the US Air
Force, as well as a former Prisoner-Of-War Camp dating back to the Civil War.
Booth Western Art Museum
The Aviation Museum in Warner Robins is one of the premier WWII Museums in
the Southeast. Your students will take a guided tour of the Museum of Aviation’s
WWII Hangar which includes the Black Eagles exhibit and the D-Day Down to
Earth exhibit. Your students will be able to view authentic artifacts, participate in
a parachute activity and receive a glider. As an aviation museum, there is a
special focus on the Air Force’s role and importance during WWII. After visiting
the Aviation Museum, your students will take a tour of Andersonville POW Camp.
Originally a Confederate prison during the Civil War, the historic site has been
transformed into a Museum for POW from each American War.
