The photos today show parts of a magnificent building
which is about 20 minutes drive from my home. It is
Ely Cathedral and this wonderful building was
constructed in the 12th century. So as you can see it
is certainly very old.
The first photo shows the front of the building,
unfortunately I have not got a photo which shows the
entire length of this mediaeval structure . One of the
extraordinary features of this building is what is
known as the octagon and the second photo shows
